Is GMGN legit?
GMGN's bots auto-generate Solana, EVM and Tron wallets. Its docs say private keys cannot be exported from any GMGN wallet, including imported ones. Withdrawals go through the website with Google Authenticator and a whitelist. Its terms nonetheless say users retain control of their keys. Web users can also connect an external wallet.
Incidents on record
- 2025-10-28: Account-takeover phishing drained user funds via Pixiu pools. SlowMist reviewed dozens of theft reports from GMGN users. It said private keys were not leaked. Instead, phished login tokens were likely used to buy into buy-only Pixiu pools, netting attackers over $700,000. GMGN separately said the platform had no security issue. Source
- 2025-07: Sandwich-attack exposure and MEV protection rollout. Solana Compass reports GMGN trades were linked to about 30.8% of 260,000+ Solana sandwich attacks in a 30-day window in April 2025. GMGN introduced MEV protection in July 2025 and set up a compensation program for users who lost funds with protection enabled. Single-source; not independently verified. Source

GMGN FAQ
Is GMGN legit?
GMGN has run since at least late 2023 and DefiLlama tracks about $289M in revenue. It operates from the British Virgin Islands. Its bot wallets cannot export private keys. In October 2025 SlowMist linked over $700,000 in user losses to phished login tokens; GMGN said the platform itself was not compromised.
What are GMGN's fees?
GMGN charges 1% per trade and nothing else. You also pay priority and tip fees to validators, and launchpad fees such as pump.fun's 1% on bonding-curve tokens.
Can I export my GMGN private key?
No. GMGN's docs say private keys cannot be exported from any GMGN wallet on Solana, EVM chains or Tron, including wallets imported from outside. You withdraw through the website after setting up 2FA and a whitelist.
How does GMGN's referral program work?
Referrers earn 10% to 30% of referred trading fees, rising with volume. Higher rates need an application. GMGN's terms limit sharing links to people you know personally and bar posting them on websites, blogs, Twitter or Reddit.
Which chains does GMGN support?
GMGN's bots cover Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and Tron. DefiLlama also tracks GMGN fees on Monad, MegaETH, Hyperliquid, X Layer, Robinhood Chain, Arbitrum and Arc.
