Bankr is an AI agent that trades, transfers and launches tokens from plain-English requests on its bankr.bot terminal, X, Farcaster and Telegram. Each account gets a Privy embedded wallet across 11 chains. Tokens launched through Bankr pay their creator a share of trading fees, which can pay for an AI agent's compute.
Cost: Bankr's own swap fee on EVM chains was waived for all users as of 2026-10-20, so a buy and sell on Base pays no Bankr fee, only pool fees and gas. The terms say the rate is 0.65% per swap when charged, or 0.15% for Bankr Club members, and Bankr can reinstate it at any time. Solana swaps are not covered by the waiver; their rate is not published. Hyperliquid orders add a Bankr builder fee of 0.1% on perps and 1% on spot. Tokens launched through Bankr charge 1.75% on every trade, of which 0.475% is a Bankr protocol fee. A $1,000 buy-and-sell costs about $0.00 in Bankr fees.

Is Bankr legit?
Terms call Bankr non-custodial: wallets are Privy embedded wallets and Bankr says it has no access to private keys. Keys can't be exported, so leaving Bankr means sending funds out. You can connect an external wallet such as MetaMask instead, with fewer features. Bankr had not published a cause for the May 2026 attack on 14 wallets in the sources checked.
Backers: Base Ecosystem Fund (listed as an investor by the tracker crypto-fundraising.info; amount and date not disclosed, and no announcement found).
Incidents on record
- 2026-05-04: Grok-linked wallet drained by prompt injection. An attacker reportedly sent a free Bankr Club NFT to a Grok-linked Bankr wallet and hid an instruction, encoded so humans would miss it, for Grok to repeat. Bankr's automation treated Grok's reply as an order and sent about 3 billion DRB tokens, worth roughly $155,000 to $174,000, to the attacker. Some of the funds were later returned. Source
- 2026-05-19: Attacker accesses 14 Bankr wallets. Bankr said an attacker accessed 14 Bankr wallets and disabled swaps, transfers and deployments while it investigated. It pledged to reimburse all lost funds. Users reported losses of up to $150,000 from some wallets, and SlowMist's founder said three attacker addresses held about $440,000. On 2026-05-22 Bankr said it was working with zeroShadow and expected full functionality back the following week. Source

Terms §9 bar anyone located in or a national of a US-sanctioned or embargoed country. §5.12.5 says token creation and similar features may not be available where restricted, "including the United Kingdom". The docs say tokenized stocks (Robinhood Chain and Base B20) are not available in the US, the UK or sanctioned regions and need a location check. The EU is not named. (source)

Is Bankr legit?

In May 2026 an attacker accessed 14 Bankr wallets; Bankr paused transactions and pledged to reimburse all losses. A separate prompt-injection attack drained a Grok-linked wallet earlier that month.

Can US users use Bankr?
Mostly. Bankr's terms only bar people in US-sanctioned countries. Its docs say tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain and Base are not available in the US, the UK or sanctioned regions. The terms also say token creation may not be available in the UK.
Can I export my Bankr wallet's private key?
No. Bankr uses Privy smart wallets, and its docs say keys are non-exportable by design. To leave, send your tokens to another wallet. You can also connect an external wallet such as MetaMask, but some features then don't work.
