MetaMask adds Stellar as a default network on mobile and extension
MetaMask made Stellar a default network in its mobile app and browser extension on 29 October 2026, announced at the Stellar Development Foundation's Meridian conference in Lisbon. Existing accounts get a Stellar address derived from the recovery phrase they already have, with no extra setup, and can hold, send and receive XLM, trustline assets and Soroban tokens and swap between Stellar and other supported networks.
Who is affected: MetaMask mobile and extension users who want to hold or swap XLM, Stellar USDC or Soroban tokens, and Stellar users moving to MetaMask.
