Coinbase Wallet
Coinbase Wallet is Coinbase's self-custodial wallet app and browser extension. It was called the Base App from July 2025 until it reverted to the Coinbase Wallet name in September 2026. It offers DEX swaps, limit orders, Hyperliquid-powered perps, prediction markets and tokenized stocks across Base, Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Robinhood Chain and other networks.
Cost: Coinbase charges a fee of up to 1% on DEX swaps. Routing is through DEX aggregators, which may add their own fee, reflected in the amount received. Network fees come on top. Coinbase has not published a default rate, and declined to share its fee structure when it reverted the name in September 2026.

Is Coinbase Wallet legit?
Self-custody wallet: private keys are stored on your device, and no Coinbase account is needed. Wallet types are a passkey smart wallet (EVM only), an email/social-login (CDP) wallet, and a recovery-phrase (mnemonic) wallet.
