Robinhood announced at its HOOD Summit in Houston on 29 September 2026 that eligible US customers will be able to trade crypto perpetual futures inside the Robinhood app "in the coming months". The contracts cover eight coins, with up to 10x leverage on BTC and ETH and 3x on the other six, and are offered by Robinhood Derivatives through Bitstamp.
Robinhood will charge one basis point (0.01%) per trade through the end of 2026; it has not said what the fee will be after that. The contracts have no expiry, and the app will support stop-loss and take-profit orders, a live liquidation price and at-risk alerts. Robinhood Derivatives, LLC is a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant, and Robinhood says perpetual futures accounts are not protected by SIPC insurance.
This is not yet open to all US customers. Robinhood's help page says perps are "beginning to roll out" and that access may reach customers over time, and its third-quarter results release on 27 October still called US perps a "planned offering". Robinhood already offers perpetual futures in the European Economic Area, and its separate self-custody Robinhood Wallet app gives access to perps on Lighter, a decentralized exchange.
At the same event Robinhood announced Robinhood Agents, an in-app AI trading agent coming to eligible US customers, Cboe-listed earnings contracts in its prediction markets hub, and plans for weekend trading of selected US stocks in early 2027, pending regulatory review.
“In the coming months, eligible U.S. customers will be able to trade perpetual futures right inside the Robinhood app.”
