Uniswap routes swaps through outside DEXs via v4 Aggregator Hooks

The Uniswap web app and API now pull in liquidity from seven outside sources on Ethereum, Base and Robinhood Chain. Swaps sent to those sources pay a Uniswap protocol fee.

Uniswap Labs launched Aggregator Hooks on 22 October 2026, letting Uniswap v4 route swaps through liquidity held on other exchanges. The hooks are live in the Uniswap web app and API on Ethereum mainnet, Base and Robinhood Chain, with seven sources at launch that Uniswap Labs says cover more than 90% of DEX activity on those chains.

Each hook wraps an outside liquidity source so that a router treats it as a Uniswap v4 pool. The router refreshes quotes every block, builds a route across Uniswap pools and outside sources, and settles it in one transaction with no new token approval. Uniswap's developer docs list sources including Curve, Fluid, PancakeSwap v3, Slipstream, Uniswap v2/v3 forks and Sky's LitePSM.

Web app swaps include the outside sources automatically; there is nothing to switch on. Uniswap Labs says swaps routed through outside sources pay protocol fees that go toward UNI burns. It did not publish the rate in its announcement. Uniswap founder Hayden Adams said on X there is no added margin on native Uniswap liquidity and "a couple basis points" of protocol fees on routes to outside sources.

Uniswap Labs still charges no interface fee. Traders who swap on Uniswap's own pools see no change in cost. An earlier version of the hook went live on Stripe and Paradigm's Tempo chain in March 2026, where it works only in the web app. Uniswap Labs says support for more chains is planned.

“Outside sources become v4 pools, and swaps routed through them pay protocol fees, contributing to UNI burn.”
