NBA names Kalshi and Polymarket its preferred prediction market exchanges
Under the multiyear deals the two exchanges get official NBA data and US marketing rights. In return they accept limits on which NBA markets they can list, and must share investigation and suspicious-trading information with the league. The NBA also signed an integrity agreement with the CFTC.

The National Basketball Association said on 26 October 2026 that it had named Kalshi and Polymarket its Preferred Prediction Market Exchanges and signed a memorandum of understanding with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on NBA-related prediction markets. The league also widened its existing DraftKings agreement to cover prediction markets.
The NBA says its agreements with Kalshi and Polymarket limit which NBA markets are permitted, ban league and team staff from trading NBA event contracts, and require the exchanges to share information on investigations and suspicious trading. The league has not published the list of permitted or barred markets. Front Office Sports reported that partners must follow the sportsbook restrictions the NBA announced earlier in October, which rule out some player props.
In return, each exchange can use NBA intellectual property and gets marketing rights and promotional activations across media channels within the United States. Both will receive official NBA data from Sportradar, the league's official data distribution partner, to run and settle authorized NBA markets. Financial terms were not disclosed; the Associated Press reported that the league said the deals run for multiple years.
Under the memorandum with the CFTC, the league and the regulator will cooperate and share information on NBA prediction markets. The NBA says it plans to expand its relationships with other official sports betting partners and other operators in the coming weeks, and that all of them will carry prediction-market integrity obligations. The release does not say whether Polymarket's agreement covers Polymarket US, its CFTC-regulated US exchange, the international polymarket.com site, or both.
The deals do not change which states either exchange serves. Several states dispute their sports contracts in court, including suits over Louisiana and Missouri and criminal charges in Utah. The NBA is the latest major US league to sign with prediction markets, after the NHL, MLS and MLB.
