Effective Oct 28, 2026: Phantom opens Kalshi prediction markets to eligible US users. Affects: Phantom users in the US (outside Michigan, Nevada and Washington) who pass Kalshi's identity checks. Source: phantom.com, verified Oct 31, 2026. Phantom code DEXSheet2 (10% fee rebate).
Phantom said on 28 October 2026 that it is opening prediction markets to all eligible users in the United States through its first US integration with Kalshi, a CFTC-registered exchange. The staged rollout began on 23 October, and US users can now trade crypto up/down contracts (including Bitcoin markets that settle every 15 minutes), sports, and economics and politics markets inside the Phantom app.
Kalshi, not Phantom, carries out customer due diligence, approves and holds the trading accounts, and executes trades submitted through the app. Before a first trade, users complete Kalshi's onboarding once the Predict tab appears. Existing Kalshi customers can link their account, and users who already verified their identity for the Phantom Cash account can share those details instead. Trades are funded from the Phantom Cash balance, held in the CASH stablecoin, and cash-outs return to it.
Phantom's region page lists Kalshi prediction markets as available in the US except Michigan, Nevada and Washington, and says Kalshi's state restrictions apply by market category, so some markets are not offered in every state. Phantom's separate non-US prediction markets remain unavailable in the US, the UK and Germany, and Phantom perps and tokenized stocks remain unavailable to US users.
The launch relies on CFTC staff no-action letter 26-09, issued in March 2026, which said Phantom need not register as an introducing broker to connect users to regulated markets, subject to conditions. It is staff relief, not a CFTC licence; Phantom states it is not registered with the CFTC.
“Phantom is opening prediction markets to all eligible users in the United States. The markets come through Phantom's first U.S. integration with Kalshi, a CFTC-registered exchange.”
