Custody: who holds your money
Self-custodial; users sign every transaction. Perps collateral is held by Phoenix's on-chain programs while on the exchange, not by Solflare. Supports Ledger, Keystone and Solflare's own Shield hardware wallet.
Incidents
- 2026-10-27: Validator stops earning after staking provider key incident. The outside company running the Solflare validator reported a security incident affecting the validator keys it holds, and the validator stopped producing rewards on about 1.56M SOL. Solflare said staked SOL was not touched and launched a new validator on 28 October. On 2 November it extended the migration deadline from 1 November to 30 November and said it will cover rewards missed from 26 October to 1 November. source
- 2026-07-28: Solflare Card paused after issuing partner Kulipa failed. Solflare paused its debit card because issuing partner Kulipa could no longer support it, and said user funds were unaffected; a replacement card with a new issuer was planned for August 2026. Service disruption, not a security breach. source

- Only open www.solflare.com — fake lookalike sites and "support" DMs are the most common way people lose funds on any trading venue.

- A referral code only changes your fee and who gets a share of it. It never needs your keys.
- Treat every new memecoin as able to go to zero. A legit venue does not make the coins on it safe.

Is Solflare legit?
Solflare is a self-custodial Solana wallet run by Solrise Finance Ltd, building since 2020. In October 2026 a key incident at its outside staking provider stopped the Solflare validator earning; Solflare said staked SOL was not touched and is compensating missed rewards for users who migrate. Its debit card paused in July 2026 after issuer Kulipa failed.
What fee does Solflare charge on swaps?
Solflare's terms say it may charge fees on token swaps, and quotes are shown in-app, but no swap-fee percentage is published on its help center, website or terms as of October 16, 2026. Solana network fees are usually under $0.01.
How much do Solflare Perps cost?
Trading perps through Solflare costs up to 0.085%, charged on both entry and exit. Solflare currently sponsors Solana network fees and account rent, so you only need USDC. Perps run on Phoenix, a Solana on-chain order book.
Can I use Solflare with Ethereum or Bitcoin?
Solflare is a Solana wallet. Its Bridge feature accepts deposits from Bitcoin, Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Tron, NEAR, Base and others through permanent deposit addresses, with funds arriving on Solana.
Is Solflare available in the US?
