Gemini closed all customer accounts in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Australia effective 6 April 2026. Its support notice says new account creation and incentive programs were disabled first, and accounts moved to withdrawal-only mode from 5 March 2026.
Australian accounts entered crypto withdrawal-only mode on 1 March 2026, and AUD bank withdrawals ended after 28 February. Gemini told customers to withdraw all crypto and fiat before 6 April and named eToro as a transfer partner. The notice also says referral and promotion programs were discontinued for customers in the EU and Australia.
In an SEC filing, Gemini Space Station said its board approved a plan on 4 February 2026 to exit and wind down operations in the United Kingdom, the European Union and other European jurisdictions, and Australia. The filing says the business continues in the United States and Singapore.
Before the exit, DexSheet's record showed Gemini open to UK and EU customers, with a Malta MiCA licence reported in August 2025. DexSheet now lists the UK and EU as restricted for Gemini.
“Effective 6 April 2026, Gemini will close all customer accounts in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, and Australia.”
