Custody: who holds your money
Terms say the operator has no custody of assets or access to credentials. A remote 'Signer' approves only transactions that match user-approved templates; 2FA available.
Incidents
- 2024-03-29: About $523K drained from 302 wallets; BONKbot denied a breach. About 2,808 SOL was drained from 302 victims. BONKbot said every drained BONKbot account had previously exported its private key, pointing to a third-party app. Solareum later shut down after being tied to the drain. source

How to use BONKbot without getting scammed
- Only open bonkbot.io — fake lookalike sites and "support" DMs are the most common way people lose funds on any trading venue.
- Never share a seed phrase or private key. No real support agent will ask for one.
- A referral code only changes your fee and who gets a share of it. It never needs your keys.
- Treat every new memecoin as able to go to zero. A legit venue does not make the coins on it safe.

What are BONKbot's fees?
1% on each successful swap. Telemetry users earn 5% to 25% of fees back as cashback depending on volume tier.
How does the BONKbot referral program work?
On the Telegram bot, referrers get 30% of referee fees in month 1, 20% in month 2 and 10% for life. Telemetry pays a flat 30% across three levels.

Telemetry is BONKbot's web trading terminal with charts, wallet tracking, limit orders and a cashback tier system.
How is BONKbot connected to BONK?
Blockworks Research describes BONKbot as part of the BONK ecosystem, with a share of its fees used to buy and burn BONK. BONKbot's docs do not state the split.
