How to use Uniswap without getting scammed
- Only open app.uniswap.org — fake lookalike sites and "support" DMs are the most common way people lose funds on any trading venue.
- Never share a seed phrase or private key. No real support agent will ask for one.
- A referral code only changes your fee and who gets a share of it. It never needs your keys.
- Treat every new memecoin as able to go to zero. A legit venue does not make the coins on it safe.

Does Uniswap charge a fee?
Uniswap Labs charges no interface fee since 2025-12-27. You still pay the pool's fee, 0.30% on v2 and 0.01% to 1% on v3, plus network gas.
What is the Uniswap fee switch?
UNIfication passed on 2025-12-25. It turned on a protocol fee carved out of LP fees on all v2 and select v3 pools on Ethereum mainnet. Proceeds are used to burn UNI.
Is Uniswap available in the US?
