Does Kalshi report to the IRS?
Yes. Kalshi issues tax forms to US customers (1099-INT, 1099-MISC, 1099-B and 1099-DA), and the IRS gets a copy.
Checked 2026-10-17 · 1 source- Kalshi's help center lists Forms 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, 1099-B and 1099-DA, issued to users who reach IRS reporting thresholds; if you get none, you likely did not meet them.
- Tax is owed on gains whether or not you receive a form. Swapping one token for another counts as a sale.
- Form 1099-DA is the IRS form for digital asset sales through a broker. It reports your sale proceeds, so keep your own records of what you paid.
