Is Grvt legit and safe?

Grvt is a real, operating perp dex live since 2024-12. It is non-custodial, and is backed by Series A co-led by ZKsync and Further Ventures, with EigenCloud and 500 Global. We found no reported hacks or fund losses in our sources. Legit is not the same as low-risk: the coins traded on it can still go to zero.

Custody: who holds your money

Deposits move into Grvt's bridge and exchange smart contracts, and withdrawals are released only against a signature from your own key, to addresses you have approved. You sign with an external wallet such as MetaMask, or with an email wallet from Privy whose private key you can export. Grvt runs the matching engine and the chain, so it can pause trading, and it screens wallets: a flagged deposit or withdrawal can be held under compliance review.

Incidents

No reported hacks, exploits or frozen withdrawals in the sources we checked.

Real downsides

• US persons and US territories are banned, along with Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong.
• The referral program documents no fee discount for new users.
• Withdrawals to Ethereum take about 8 hours; faster networks go through the third-party Rhino bridge.
• Grvt can hold deposits and withdrawals from wallets its compliance screening flags.

Can you use it where you live?

Grvt's Restricted Jurisdictions page (August 3, 2026) says: "Your access to or use of the Platform and Services are banned if you are a person residing, located, incorporated or otherwise established in any of the countries/ jurisdictions listed below." The list starts with the "United States of America including all U.S.A. territories" and also names Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada, Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Syria, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and occupied regions of Ukraine. The UK and the EU are not named; Grvt does not state that they are supported. (source)

We report what the venue's own terms say. Don't use a VPN to get around restrictions; venues can freeze accounts that do.

How to use Grvt without getting scammed

• Only open grvt.io — fake lookalike sites and "support" DMs are the most common way people lose funds on any trading venue.
• Never share a seed phrase or private key. No real support agent will ask for one.
• A referral code only changes your fee and who gets a share of it. It never needs your keys.
• Treat every new memecoin as able to go to zero. A legit venue does not make the coins on it safe.
