Clanker

Clanker is a token deployment protocol on Base and other EVM chains. Anyone can launch a token by tagging @clanker on Farcaster, through the clanker.world web form, or via its SDK. Each token gets a Uniswap v4 pool, and the creator earns a share of every trade.

Cost: Deploying a token costs only gas. Every trade in a Clanker pool pays the pool's LP fee plus a Clanker fee equal to 20% of it, charged on top. On a standard 1% pool that is 1.2% per trade: 1% to the creator and 0.2% to Clanker. Dynamic-fee pools, the clanker.world default, charge more when the price is volatile, and launch-window fees start near 80%. A buy and sell on a 1% pool costs 2.4% in pool fees, of which 0.4% goes to Clanker. A $1,000 buy-and-sell costs about $24.00 in Clanker fees.

Clanker fees

FeeTypeRateApplies toNote
Pool LP fee (creator rewards) creator 1% Buy and sell 1% is the rate Clanker's FAQ quotes and its SDK's static preset. Static fees can be set up to 30% and can't be changed after launch. The fee goes to the token's reward recipients, the creator's wallet by default; docs say Farcaster bot launches pay creators 80% of LP fees.
Clanker protocol fee protocol 0.2% Buy and sell Fixed at 20% of the LP fee and added on top: 0.2% on a 1% pool, 0.4% on a 2% pool, 0.6% on a 3% pool.
Dynamic fee lp — Buy and sell Default on clanker.world. The LP fee starts at a base rate and rises with pool volatility up to a cap. Clanker's SDK preset runs from 1% to 5%; the 20% Clanker fee is added on top.
Launch-window anti-sniper fee other — buy On v4.1 pools Clanker's recommended setting starts the applied fee at 80% and lowers it to 5% over 30 seconds, after which normal fees apply. v4.0 pools instead auction the first swaps for about 22 seconds and pay the proceeds to the creator.
Deployment network — buy No platform fee to launch, only gas, which Clanker says is typically a few dollars. An optional creator buy spends ETH on the first swap.
Droid funding share creator — Buy and sell Only if the token ships with a Droid AI agent: 10% of LP rewards by default (1% to 50%) is routed to the droid's wallet to pay for its compute.

Platform fees only. On-chain network/priority fees, pool (LP) fees and price impact are extra and vary by trade.

Is Clanker legit?

You deploy and trade from your own connected wallet, and clanker.world sign-in uses Farcaster or Privy. Initial liquidity goes into Clanker's LP locker, which has no withdraw function. Clanker says none of its contracts are upgradeable, but a team multisig can enable or disable hooks, extensions and MEV modules, pause deployments and claim protocol fees.

Backers: Farcaster (Merkle Manufactory) acquired Clanker; terms undisclosed, 2025-10; Neynar (Haun Ventures-backed) acquired Farcaster, including Clanker; terms undisclosed, 2026-01.

Clanker has no general terms of use. Its Stock Token pair terms say general terms apply "when published". Those terms (§3) require anyone pairing a token against a Robinhood Stock Token to confirm they are not a U.S. Person under Regulation S and not in a country on Robinhood Assets (Jersey)'s restricted list, and §5 lets Clanker geo-restrict the feature. No other country restrictions are published, and the UK and EU are not named. (source)

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Launching a token costs only gas; Clanker charges no deployment fee.
  • Creators keep the full pool LP fee, 1% on a standard pool, because Clanker's 20% cut is added on top rather than taken out of it.
  • Initial liquidity is locked in a locker with no withdraw function, and Clanker says its contracts are not upgradeable.
  • Clanker v4 was audited by Cantina and Macro in 2025, and v4.1 by Macro in August 2025.
  • Launch-window auctions and decaying fees turn early bot buying into fees and auction proceeds for the creator.

Cons

  • Ownership is unsettled: Neynar sold Farcaster to Network School on 2026-10-15, and Clanker's next owner had not been announced.
  • A standard pool costs 1.2% per trade, and dynamic pools can reach about 6% per trade during volatile periods.
  • Buying in the first seconds after launch can cost up to 80% in fees.
  • Clanker's July 2025 compatibility list warned that most Base Telegram trading bots could not trade its Uniswap v4 pools.
  • No general terms of use or country list is published.

Clanker FAQ

Is Clanker legit?

Clanker is a token deployment protocol on Base and other EVM chains, launched in November 2024. Farcaster bought it in October 2025, and Neynar took it over in January 2026. Its v4 contracts were audited by Cantina and Macro. Anyone can launch a token, so tokens on Clanker are not vetted.

What fees does Clanker charge?

Launching costs only gas. Each trade pays the pool's LP fee plus a Clanker fee equal to 20% of it. On a standard 1% pool that is 1.2% per trade: 1% to the creator and 0.2% to Clanker. Dynamic pools charge more when volatile, and launch-window fees start near 80%.

How do Clanker creator rewards work?

Creators earn the LP fee from their token's initial Uniswap v4 pool, paid in the token, the paired token (usually WETH) or both. Anyone can trigger a claim, but rewards always go to the registered recipient. Liquidity that other people add does not earn the creator anything.

Can US users use Clanker?

Clanker publishes no general terms of use or country list. Only its Stock Token pairing feature excludes U.S. Persons under Regulation S. Launching and trading other tokens has no published US restriction.

Who owns Clanker?

Farcaster bought Clanker in October 2025, and Neynar acquired Farcaster, including Clanker, in January 2026. On 2026-10-15 Neynar sold Farcaster to Balaji Srinivasan's Network School. That deal did not mention Clanker, and The Block reported Neynar was weighing a separate buyer.
