Paradex prices BTC at $0 after database error, rolls back chain state

Long positions were liquidated before the price recovered. Paradex restored its last known correct state.

A database migration error briefly priced BTC at $0 on Paradex on 19 January 2026, triggering liquidations of long positions, The Block reported. Paradex said it would roll chain state back to a block recorded just before scheduled maintenance began.

Parts of the platform were restricted while engineers worked on recovery. Paradex did not disclose the number of affected traders or the value liquidated.

Paradex's director of engineering Clement Ho said the rollback would restore the exchange's last known correct state, according to The Block.
