Is Bags custodial? Who holds your funds?
Partly. Bags uses an embedded wallet: a wallet provider secures the keys inside the app, and you can export them to take full control.
Checked 2026-10-16 · 3 sources- Terms describe an "unhosted wallet application (Non-Custodial Wallet)", and Bags says it does not custody assets. The app and website let users export the wallet's private key, for example into Phantom.
- Non-custodial does not mean risk-free. Smart-contract bugs, phishing and malicious approvals can still lose funds.
