Yes — it is Kraken's own program. The code only links your account to a referrer for fee sharing. It never needs your keys or seed phrase.

Can I add a Kraken referral code after signing up?

No. The referrer is recorded at signup and cannot be changed afterwards.

Does Kraken have a referral bonus?

Yes. In the US, you and a new user can each get up to $75, capped at $1,500 for you. The friend signs up on the app with your link, deposits fiat from a bank and completes the offer within 15 days. Stablecoin trades don't count, and Kraken says bonuses are not guaranteed.
